Although only 300 metres from the lively centre of Torquay, the Haytor Hotel is situated in a peaceful conservation area on green and pleasant Meadfoot Road, which leads from the Harbour to Meadfoot Bay through the most exclusive and sought-after area of town.
The peaceful atmosphere is enhanced and protected by the mature gardens and trees which surround the hotel, and which guests can enjoy from the hotel's terrace.
On a warm evening many guests prefer to take their refreshments out onto the stunning terrace, where the peaceful atmosphere of the house extends. Here they can write postcards, immerse themselves in a novel, admire the hotel gardens, or just watch the Sun go down over Torquay.
